There’s something so wonderfully festive about rolling up your sleeves, putting on some music, and getting creative with a little seasonal making.

What’s Included in Your Wreath Making Kit
Each kit comes with all the essentials — thoughtfully prepared in our Sheffield workroom — so you can jump straight into the creative bit:
A mossed wreath base (we’ve done the messy mossing for you!)
A roll of binding wire
A selection of seasonal foliage, including spruce and eucalyptus
String for hanging
Optional decorations (pine cones, berries, and ribbons)
Step-by-step instructions (plus a link to our YouTube Channel if you get stuck!)
How to Make Your Own Wreath – Step by Step
Step 1: Create a Loop
Start by creating a small loop using the string provided — this will be used to hang your finished wreath later on. It’s much easier to do this at the start rather than at the end!
Step 2: Attach Your Binding Wire
Take your binding wire and firmly attach it to your already mossed wreath frame. (We’ve mossed it for you — it can get messy, and we’re very used to it in the workroom!)
Step 3: Build Your Foliage Bundles
Now for the fun bit. Create little bundles of mixed foliage, using contrasting textures like spruce and eucalyptus. Hold a few stems together in your hand to form each mini bunch.
Attach these bundles to the moss base using your wire, working in one direction around the wreath. This will create a lovely, natural spiral effect.
Step 4: Fill the Inner Ring
Use the smaller pieces of spruce to fill the inside edge of the wreath, tucking them into any gaps to give a full, balanced look.
Step 5: Continue Around the Base
Keep building up your wreath by repeating the process all the way around the ring until you’ve formed a complete, lush circle.
Helpful Tips for a Beautiful Finish
Always overlap your next foliage bundle slightly on top of the previous one to hide the stems and cover the moss base
Position stems pointing inwards and leaves pointing outwards for a soft, fanned effect.
Mix your foliage types evenly to spread colour and texture around the wreath.
Pull your wire tightly to keep each bundle secure and compact.
At this stage, you can leave your wreath as a simple, natural foliage design — it’s beautiful in its own right. Or, if you’d like to go all out, it’s time to accessorise!
Adding Decorations & Accessories
For a touch of personality, add pine cones, berries, ribbons, or dried flowers. Here’s how to do it:
To add a pine cone:
Cut a length of wire and thread it through the bottom of the cone.
Position the cone where you’d like it on your wreath.
Push both ends of the wire through the moss base so they come out the back.
Twist the ends together and flatten them against the base to secure.
You can use this same method for most accessories — and don’t be afraid to pierce stems if needed!
Before fixing anything, I like to check my placements first by arranging all my accessories loosely on the wreath — that way, I can play with balance and colour before committing.
